Elevate your referendum planning with School Tax Elections: Planning for Success in the New Normal, a comprehensive workshop on January 27, 2025. This session focuses on systems and strategies, not just campaign tactics, helping school leaders develop a long-range plan for successful tax elections.
School Tax Elections: Planning for Success in the New Normal, is a workshop based on the book co-authored by Dr. Don Lifto and Barbara Nicol. The workshop’s content represents a marriage of research and successful practice, emphasizing systems and strategies rather than specific campaign tactics, allowing school administrators to elevate their thinking to a more comprehensive and long-range vision of referendum planning.
Don Lifto, School Election Strategies, and Peter Leatherman, Morris and Leatherman Company, have worked with hundreds of school districts running operating, bond, and technology elections from New Jersey to California. Lifto has had more than twenty articles on referendum planning published in national journals, including two co-authored with Bill Morris.
In addition to Lifto and Leatherman, the workshop will also feature presentations on referendum communications planning by Jeff Dehler, DehlerPR, and a successful case study from Dave Bernhardson, Superintendent of Inver Grove Heights Schools.
Based on past workshops, registering a district team is highly recommended to ensure a common understanding. Registration includes the program, materials, and one copy of School Tax Elections: Planning for Success in the New Normal, 3rd Edition, per team. Additional copies of the book for your team can be requested at $40 per copy by emailing [email protected].
