Honoring Indigenous Peoples’ Day | October 13, 2025

MASA Members,

Today, we join Minnesotans in recognizing Indigenous Peoples’ Day – a time to honor the rich histories, cultures, and ongoing contributions of Indigenous communities across our state. As school leaders, this day reminds us of the role education plays in fostering understanding and respect, and of our responsibility to ensure that Indigenous voices and experiences are reflected in our schools.

By continuing to build relationships with Indigenous communities and integrating their perspectives into our teaching and leadership, we help create inclusive environments where every student feels valued and represented.
