The team at the UnitedHealth Group Equity Innovation Center (EIC) at the YMCA of the North is excited to partner with MASA for the Leading with Excellence and Equity series. The initial and closing sessions will be held in person at the EIC. The other six sessions will be held virtually. This series of experiences is designed to 1) increase awareness of self and others; 2) develop effective strategies for increasing positive intercultural relationships; and 3) explore approaches for creating workplace culture that is diverse, inclusive, and equitable.
Leading with Excellence and Equity presented by MASA in partnership with the YMCA and the UnitedHealth Group Equity Innovation Center of Excellence MASA invites individuals and groups to embark on an equity journey through a series of sessions, two in person and six virtual. We will provide experiences, principles, information, and tools for you to apply in systems change work for greater equity. Leading with Excellence and Equity series intends to serve as a catalyst to engage the mind on equity, diversity, inclusion, and global realities. It is our hope that this experience will provide a unique transformation for participants to be able to see life from another’s point of view. In order for organizations to better serve their communities or reach their customers appropriately, organizations should be able to understand the life path of their target audience.

Be transformed and inspire actions to solve problems in a novel way and spark internal re-evaluation
Have a positive cognitive reaction and come up with scalable social change solutions

Continuing Education Units (CEUs):Participants will receive 22 CEUs issued by the MN Board of School Administrators (BOSA). Cancelation Policy:Program fees will be refunded if canceled by September 1, 2023, with a $50 penalty. No refunds after September 1, 2023.

Parking. There is a parking structure under the YMCA, but the capacity of the ramp is somewhat limited. We do not own the ramp. The name of the Gaviidae Commons Garage. Gaviidae is on the corner of 6th and Nicollet, circled in red below. The garage entrance is off 6th Street, on the right hand side. 6th Street is a one-way street heading southeast (above 7th Street by one block in the map below).
