About our presenters Kim Gibbons is the Director of the Center for Applied Research and Educational Improvement (CAREI) and the Co-Director of the WIMN Comprehensive center. Her research and professional interests include the Multi-Tiered System of Support Framework (MTSS), the science of reading, educational policy and leadership, improvement science, and evidence-based teaching and assessment practices
Bobbie Burnham serves as the Assistant Commissioner for the Office of Teaching and Learning at the Minnesota Department of Education. Bobbie is in her 39th year in education and her work and expertise focus on leveraging connections among early care and education programs and the K-12 system in order to create a comprehensive and inclusive learning framework that spans birth through age 8 and beyond.
