Guardian Security Systems More than a Wish and a Prayer: An Intelligent Threat Detection to Protect Your School Community from Gun Violence
With the rise of gun violence at schools in the United States, the community expects that Superintendents and Districts keep their children safe. The reality is daunting and there are no proven solutions. Guardian School Security Systems is an intelligent solution to detect guns and weapons, including concealed weapons, when they enter a school’s perimeter. The intelligent system works within your school safety plan to alert first responders, school personnel, and lock doors when a threat is detected. This Intelligent system was created by Minnesota scientist, Dr. Timothy Childs and has been proven over 30 years with the US Armed Forces. The system is currently installed at Deephaven Elementary school in Minnetonka. You will hear from David Law, J.D. the superintendent of Minnetonka Public Schools, and former Minnesota Superintendent of the Year (2020) and Dr. Bernadeia H. Johnson, Associate Professor of Educational Leadership at Minnesota State University, Mankato, and former Superintendent of Minneapolis Public Schools. Both will share their first-hand experience with Guardian School Security Systems. Alan Roth, CFO of Guardian School Security Systems will also be available to share details on how the system works. Presenters will also share financing options for schools.
Who should attend? This session is designed for all MASA members. Superintendents may consider inviting other members of their leadership teams to this virtual session.
