    Dr. Deb Henton became Executive Director of the Minnesota Association of School Administrators (MASA) on July 1, 2020. A longtime MASA leader, she served as President in 2018–19 and helped advance the association’s strategic priorities, including efforts to grow the number of female superintendents. As Executive Director, she continues to champion inclusion, equity, and leadership development across Minnesota.

    With a career spanning the classroom to state-level leadership, Dr. Henton has served as a teacher, principal, executive director, chief of staff, and superintendent for 13 years. She was twice appointed to the state Board of School Administrators by Governor Dayton and most recently served as its chair.

    Dr. Henton's work has earned multiple honors, including 2018 Minnesota Superintendent of the Year and MASA’s Kay E. Jacobs Memorial Award. She holds an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and two master’s degrees from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota, as well as a bachelor’s degree from UW–River Falls.
