Event Details
With recent passage and the President signing the tax and spending reconciliation bill into law on July 4, state agencies are working on a final analysis of the impact to Minnesota, the people we serve, and services provided or supervised by state agencies. The state is organizing a series of briefings in coming weeks based on these analyses.
While the impacts of the reconciliation bill span many issue areas, this initial briefing will be focused on some of the biggest changes. The informational briefing agenda is as follows:
- Medicaid Impacts
- Private Health Insurance
- Nutrition Impacts
- Clean Energy
The state would like to invite school districts to an informational briefing, focused on how students and families may experience the impacts. This session will include leaders from the Department of Human Services, Department of Children, Youth, and Families, Department of Commerce, and Minnesota Management and Budget. Informational briefings are also being provided to legislative, federal, and local government partners as well as many community organizations.
It is important to note that this is a focused briefing on the final signed reconciliation bill; this is not a broad federal issues informational session on other pertinent topics.
