MASA members and our fellow educational leaders are invited to join the 2025-26 BIPOC Leadership Group!
The goal of this group is to gather with your colleagues for collegiality, discussion, and ideation, focusing on issues of particular interest to BIPOC leaders. We are pleased to announce that Dr. Bernadeia Johnson will again be facilitating the group!
The 2025-26 dates are open to all leaders within MASA and beyond! If you know of a colleague who would benefit from attending these sessions, please forward this information to them.

February 3rd Spotlight on Dr. Bernadeia Johnson, and Valeria Silva — Leading while Black and Brown
Please join us to witness the reunion of Dr Bernadeia Johnson and Valeria Silva, both former superintendents of MPS and SPPS, respectively. These two women of color formed a friendship based on mutual respect for the work they were engaged in. During their leadership, both Silva and Johnson had the distinction of leading the two largest urban school districts.
Dr. Silvy Lafayette will facilitate the conversation with the two leaders. Lafayette currently leads Research, Evaluation, and Assessment (REA) for the St. Louis Park Public Schools and is a former employee of the Saint Paul Public Schools. We hope you can join us!

CEUs have been requested from the Minnesota Board of School Administrators (BOSA). Participants must attend at least THREE sessions synchronously to be eligible for CEUs. Sessions will NOT be recorded.
