Matthew W. Schoen

Matt Schoen is currently serving in his fourteenth year as Superintendent of Delano Public Schools. Prior to becoming superintendent, Matt spent 13 years serving as a high school principal in Delano, Columbia Heights, and Owatonna. Earlier in his career, he was an elementary school principal in Worthington, and he also taught high school social studies for seven years in St. Paul. Matt’s core values in education are to make student-centered decisions and to support teachers. Matt has been married to his wife, Laura, for 32 years. He has three grown children and three grandchildren.
