Professional Bio

Anoka-Hennepin Schools Superintendent Cory McIntyre is an experienced education leader who is passionate about ensuring a culture of academic excellence through high student achievement, safe and welcoming environments, and effective organizational support for each and every student. He has served 28 years in education, and is well-regarded for developing genuine, caring relationships and powerful connections with students, families, employees, and community residents. Superintendent McIntyre’s previous experience includes serving as superintendent in Osseo Area Schools, assistant superintendent in Anoka-Hennepin Schools, and as director of student services in ISD 622 - North St. Paul-Maplewood-Oakdale, and in Hudson (WI), and director of special education in Rochester (MN). He was the assistant director of special education in Auburn (WA) and a school psychologist in the Seattle, Washington area and in Blue Earth (MN). McIntyre earned his superintendent and principal license from the University of Minnesota, and his program administrator license at the University of Washington. He holds a master’s degree in education and a specialist certificate in school psychology from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse, and a bachelor’s degree in psychology and biology from Minnesota-State University-Mankato.
