MASA is now accepting applications for the 2023-24 Minnesota Aspiring Superintendents’ Academy. This program is designed for educators who are considering the superintendency as a possible next step in their careers. The program provides a comprehensive experience that covers a wide range of topics, including leadership development, communication, school board relationships, decision-making, community engagement, interviewing and contract negotiation, and much more.

Facilitated by experienced school administrators and other experts in their fields, the program will provide you with the knowledge and skills needed to be successful in a top district leadership role. You will have the opportunity to learn from some of the best educators in the state, build a strong professional network, and gain the skills and confidence needed to lead a school district.

If you are an educator with a passion for leadership and a desire to make a positive impact on education in your community, then the Aspiring Superintendents Academy is the perfect opportunity for you. Don't miss this chance to grow and expand your current leadership skills.

In addition, we ask members to consider encouraging educators and future leaders in your network to apply for this program. As a member of our education community, you know firsthand the importance of having well-prepared and effective leaders at the helm of our school districts. By supporting and encouraging others to apply, you can help ensure that our education system is in good hands for years to come.

To apply, submit your application here. Please note that this is NOT a licensure program.

Applications are due by August 1, 2023. Accepted candidates will be notified by August 15. Due to the generous financial support from our business partner, Sourcewell, the cost to participants to attend the academy is $1,000. If you have any questions about the Academy, please reach out - we'd love to talk!
