The upcoming term for this open seat will run from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2028.
Governing Board members have dual responsibilities. They represent their home state on the Governing Board, and they report the work of the Governing Board to their home state affiliate. Through the Governing Board's elected representatives, members have a voice in AASA decision-making.
The AASA Board meets twice a year. The first meeting is held in conjunction with AASA’s Federal Advocacy Conference held in July. The second meeting is held in conjunction with AASA’s National Conference on Education held in the spring.
