Call for Proposals
2014 MASA Fall Conference
September 28-30 • Madden’s on Gull Lake, Brainerd, MN

We have all heard the saying, “It takes a village to raise a child,” but do we know whether or to what extent we are engaging our “villages” on behalf of our students? The fragmentation of our communities is an issue, not only for our schools, but for other community entities, as well as for individuals themselves. As leaders, we must consider how to shape and shift the conversations with our communities to include and involve all segments of our society to come together and create a common future for our students and their families. We all aspire to being a part of a healthy, inclusive, whole community in which strong relationships form a powerful infrastructure that supports us all. Join your colleagues this fall and explore, “Pulling Together ~ Leading Strong School Communities.”

Please feel free to submit any proposed topic you feel would interest education leaders by clicking here. Please include all requested information and submit your proposal by Monday, August 11.

Questions?  Please contact Jeanna at the MASE office (651-789-4062 or 651-645-6272
Conference registration materials will be available mid August. Make plans to attend!

Please share this with your colleagues. Thank you!

2014 Back-to-School Leadership Conference Registration
All are welcome. Bring your team!
Make plans now to attend the 2014 Back-to-School Leadership Conference.  Our agenda will inform and inspire you as you anticipate the new school year.  Our program will include global and local perspectives on leading positive futures for all of our students.  We will hear from MDE leaders on a variety of topics affecting your district, but this year with a spin – or rather a flip!  A number of our MASA members have asked for more time for discussion and Q&A with the MDE presenters, so we will be flipping our breakout sessions.  Once the link is received from MDE, participants will receive online access information to view presentations prior to the conference, and breakouts will focus on discussion rather than presentation.  Concurrently, an unconference will allow participants to frame their own discussion groups around whatever topic they choose.  Don’t miss this energizing way to get in gear for 2014-15.  Click Here and Register Today!
PLEASE NOTE: The Back to School Conference has been designed to be compatible with the agenda for the FinnFest Education Forum August 6-7 in Minneapolis.
