MASA Foundation Activities

The School Administrators Charitable Foundation was formed by the Minnesota Association of School Administrators and its interested partners in response to the need for support for the professional development of Minnesota education leaders. The world is changing at a pace more rapid than ever before, and if our children are to be prepared for the new world of tomorrow, our education leaders must be prepared to mentor their success. The Foundation's mission outlines this essential support:

• to enhance the leadership development of educational administrators

• assisting educators who wish to assess their level of skills and interest in the superintendency

• assisting educators who wish to access training experiences leading to the qualifications of the superintendency

• supporting leadership development that enhances the professional growth of administrators by creating partnerships between the Minnesota Association of School Administrators and other organization such as business, training institutions, and government

• to encourage and support individuals interested in careers in teaching or educational administration

• establishing partnerships with Minnesota training institutions for Minnesota Association of School Administrators members to teach and mentor baccalaureate candidates concerning issues and careers in educational administration

• assisting high school graduates who wish to enter the field of education

• to enhance the role and image of school administrators through public education
