  Meet the MRELP Faculty

Dr. Jean Haar is the Director of the Center for Engaged Leadership and an associate professor for the Department of Educational Leadership at Minnesota State University Mankato.  Jean began her profession in education as an English teacher and later served as a high school principal. In her present position, she teaches educational leadership and educational administration courses, and she develops and facilitates professional leadership development for individuals and for school districts.

Dr. Bruce H. Miles is the owner & CEO of the Big River Consulting Group, LLC.  He has been a paraprofessional, a regular education & special education teacher, and a school administrator.  For five years, he was an Assistant Professor at St. Cloud State University & taught Graduate coursework in the areas of Educational Administration leadership, planning, finance & personnel.  He is a national-level facilitator, presenter and trainer in the areas of strategic planning, school improvement, organizational conflict, & difficult employees.

Ms. Janet Mohr, former superintendent of schools, is the director for the MASA/MREA, Minnesota Rural Education Leadership Program.  Over her 34 year career in public education, she has held positions as elementary principal, assistant high school principal, school psychologist, special education coordinator, director of area learning center, and secondary teacher.  She is a business owner and serves as a board director in health care, manufacturing, and education.  She has been named Administrator of Excellence, Psychologist of Excellence, and nominated Entrepreneur of the Year.

Dr. Jerry Robicheau is Chair and Associate Professor of Educational Leadership, Department of Educational Leadership Minnesota State University Mankato.  Dr. Robicheau served eight years as a superintendent of schools.  He has held positions as an assistant superintendent, director of special education, director of an education district, elementary principal and a secondary and elementary teacher.
